Blackout vs Dim-out Blinds: Which Do You Need?
Blackout and dim-out fabrics look similar but behave very differently. Here is how to choose for each room.

Blackout blinds
Blackout fabrics have a coating that stops light passing through the fabric. They are ideal for bedrooms, nurseries and media rooms. For the darkest result, fit them outside the recess or choose a cassette with side channels.
Dim-out blinds
Dim-out fabrics reduce light significantly and give complete privacy, but the room will not be fully dark. They suit living rooms, dining rooms and studies.
Which should you choose?
Bedrooms & nurseries: blackout
Living rooms: dim-out or zebra
Home offices: sunscreen to cut glare while keeping the view
